Interval... The Proposed Luminated Bar

Poster 1. Initial Idea for the proposed Bar (The first Idea)
Poster 2. Evolved and reworked proposal (Proposed Luminated Bar)

The interval assignment is an opportunity to create an object of creativity while being directly useful to my shot glass collection :) My DDI project included a cinema and a bar with a proposed upwards lighting system. Simply, the link to my interval project is a bar with space for fine scotch whisky together with a integrated shot glass display. The proposed lighting system will luminate part of my jim beam bottles and partly some shotglasses. As shown above, the integrated light will compose the theme of a similar to my facade system on the wall of my hystorical facade on the denneys lacelles building.

The form of my proposed bar is a layered system of offset MDF 6mm sheets. I have worked out that I should need six layers placed together with square collums making a space suitable for a bar that will be located on the bookcase in my room at home. It is customized and will be tailored to some shot glasses in my possession.

I researched some schools for inspiration and did see examples of furniture around the world and from the Art Deco Period. The Art Deco period saw much in cinema lighting and creative classic bars. This is represented in my curves throughout my design and implements the "smooth" idea represented from the period.
